I was excited to recently have been invited to participate in A Bridal and Prom Event in Branford that was produced by Jennifer Kelley Lublin Photography http://www.jennkl.com/ and Suzette Maddox of The Flower Shop http://www.flowershopbranfordfl.com/

Other participating vendors were Marlene Tompkins (hair and makeup), Aimee Lee (hair and makeup), Maggie Platz (nails), Marcia Hunt (cakes and baked goods), and Lorisa Calloway (I DO Bridal and Prom Rentals).

Models for the day were: Mariah Clayton, Taylor Stevenson, Tonya Burns, Catherine Trisch, Dusti Derringer, and Sara Scaggs.  They all did a wonderful job, as did the hair and makeup artists getting them ready for the day!

The public was treated to an open house as part of the event, and were able to stop by The Flower Shop to pick up a swag bag and meet all the participants.  I had so much fun participating and capturing these amazing images!!

Hope you enjoy:

Christmas comes but once a year!

The annual Christmas Special is always one of my favorite events of the year.  It combines getting to work with a wonderful local business as someone else always acts as the host site for the shoot, Christmas memories for families who are having portraits made, and the act of giving portrait memories as gifts in most cases.

This year, the special was held at a local business called A Perfect Setting.  They are a wonderful catering and event cooridnation company that have a great huge building right in the middle of Branford.  If you're planning a wedding or even something as simple as a baby or bridal shower, give them a call.  You won't be disappointed!  http://www.apscatering.com/

A Perfect Setting provided the beautiful decor for the Christmas scene and we had almost record setting attendance from people getting portraits for gifts and Christmas cards.  Hope you enjoy this sneak peek of some of my favorites from the weekend!

The Walker Kids

When a friend asked if I would be interested in taking a group shot of her husband's grandparent's great-grandchildren (did you follow all that right?) for Christmas, I immediately jumped on board.  I love the act of giving portrait memories for gifts!

We started talking ages.  5, 3, 2, 2, almost 2, almost 1.   Wow.

It was actually a great deal of fun!  We started out in the studio, then made our way to Ivy Memorial Park in Branford when the kids got ready for some outside fun.  We ended up getting the much-needed group shot, and some fun others as well.

Enjoy!
